Emergency Estate Planning for those on Fixed Incomes

Dear Friends,

I’m not a doctor or a first responder. I’m just a lawyer. But, I do have a heart (shocker!!), especially for our senior citizens and other high-risk folks who must be so careful during this COVID-19 pandemic.

Maybe I can help.

Our firm does practical estate planning. (ie: last wills, healthcare powers of attorney, etc.)

Normally, I charge an hourly fee for these services. However, during this time of crisis, we have instituted a sliding-fee scale for emergency planning only (from $0-$650, depending on income level). We can work together by phone, email, and internet, so you do not need to leave the safety of your home.

So, if you are on a fixed income and need help with emergency estate planning – feel free to call us at (501) 247-1830.

Everyone at our firm is working remotely, so please be patient. Leave a message with our answering service and someone will get back to you as soon as possible. A quick conversation will determine whether we can help with your situation, how much the charge will be (if any), and what to expect next.

If you are in a hospital or nursing facility, let us know so we can prioritize your case.

Please know that we are small firm in Arkansas and can only manage a limited number of cases in our state. We are also relying on outside volunteers to help us accommodate as many people as possible.

Best wishes for everyone’s health and safety,

Deborah L. Hardin, Managing Attorney
